TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- The Small Business Administration has
approved more disaster loans for businesses and residents in South
Florida.
Gov. Rick Scott on Tuesday announced the SBA has approved his
second request for a disaster declaration for that area in less
than a month.
The new declaration covers severe storm damage and flooding Oct.
28-31 in Broward, Collier, Hendry, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach
counties.
The SBA last month approved a declaration for tornados and
severe weather that hit the same five counties on Oct. 18.
Homeowners can get loans of up to $200,000 to repair or replace
damaged or destroyed real estate. Homeowners and renters can get
loans of up to $40,000 to replace or repair damaged or destroyed
personal property.
Small businesses can get loans to meet disaster-caused working
capital needs.
